Shaboozey Saddles Up for Cash App Card Intro

Hey, Grammy-winning C&W superstar—that's one fine tortoise

He went back 150 years for a special guitar, and a tortoise was his best friend.

That sounds like a line from a country song no one should ever write. In fact, it’s the plot of Shaboozey’s short film for Cash App.

The odd yet eye-pleasing work intros the brand’s prepaid Visa “Tortoise Card,” decorated like the creature’s shell.

Shaboozey, fresh off his Grammy and Super Bowl triumphs, moseys into town for some temporal horseplay:

Dude’s a music superstar. We’re pretty sure he can outbid anyone at that auction.

It’s all a bit much, though Jackson Tisi’s direction, through production house Fela, impressively mixes glitz and grit.

And Shaboozey, as always, rides tall with an appealing performance.
