Président Cheese Is Sending Gift Baskets to Folks Who Had to Cancel Trips to Europe
Gastronomic solace for the new normal
Pandemic travel restrictions may have nixed your summer vacation to Paris or Rome, but thankfully you can still sit at home in self-quarantine and eat cheese.
With that in mind, Président Cheese, which prides itself on its European heritage, worked with creative agency Solve to produce cheese-centric food kits, and scoured social media for posts mentioning scuttled overseas vacations.
Now, the team will gift 20 kits to folks forced to bid adieu to their summer bon voyages.
Real flight attendants—who know a few things about international cuisine, after all—appear in social posts and other promotional materials:
The kits contain Président cheeses (d’uh!), classy accoutrements for pairing, cheese knives, a language-app subscription (Oui, c’est vrai!), and a passport-style recipe book.
All that sure beats airline food!
Solve’s WFH summer interns developed the idea to get a taste for working on an actual client brief.
You can check out a digital version of the kit here, along with European Zoom backgrounds designed to make your next virtual happy hour take flight.
“With the pandemic grounding many travel plans, food has really become a passport of sorts this summer,” says Solve partner and account management director Ryan Murray. “We’ve all seen brands reaching out with gift boxes, but channeling our European expertise into a foodie trip replacement kit felt like an uplifting way to surprise consumers in an upside-down time.”
