Kalshi Explains Itself—and Serves the World's Longest Sandwich
Hungry for answers? Dig in!
Who needs Timothée Chalamet when you’ve got a submarine sandwich that stretches for miles?
Kalshi follows last month’s splashy spot starring Tim with fresh work from agency Es Muy Good, MJZ director Tom Kuntz and DOP Hoyte van Hoytema.
In the spot below, diverse characters share a humongous hoagie and chat about Kalshi’s attributes, explaining the basics of prediction markets for the uninitiated.
It’s fun, memorable stuff, in sync with Kalshi’s patented oddball spots. That said, this initiative marks an evolution of the creative approach.
“We had a conversation with the client and felt it made sense to give them a chance to spotlight their platform directly,” agency founder and ECD Steve Gonzalez tells Muse. “Most of the work we’ve done so far for them has focused on building awareness through comedy and intrigue. So, this spot is a more informational approach giving a clearer sense of who they are and what they’re about.”
Indeed, it provides a quick, easily digestible overview while rolling big with the meaty visuals. It’s instructive and entertaining. Yum.
“We shot this in June in L.A.,” Gonzalez recalls. “The sub was real—for the most part.”
“The talent held an actual sub made by a food stylist. We used a foam version for the bending shots. And the rest was VFX. Turns out building a 200-foot sub isn’t exactly practical.”
The work breaks wide tomorrow across TV and digital platforms.
