Baker Mayfield Is Even More at Home in Year 3 of Progressive's NFL Campaign
Browns quarterback dishes on the neighbors
“I’m happy she’s renovating her kitchen. But if I have to hear about subway tile one more time…”
Cleveland Browns star Baker Mayfield dishes the “hot goss” with neighbors—and rocks a fanny pack for a yard sale—as he quarterbacks the third year of Progressive’s NFL campaign.
As usual, Mayfield’s wife Emily joins in the fun, and the pair deliver low-key, sitcom-style laughs in and around their “home”—the 2-million-square-foot FirstEnergy Stadium:
The trailer below previews more ads in the series from Arnold Worldwide and O Positive director Kenny Herzog, which touts Progressive as a leading provider of insurance for homeowners.
“When we kicked off this season, we talked a lot about how the third season is when great shows really find themselves,” says Arnold creative chief Sean McBride. “And, to us, that’s exactly what happened with ‘At Home with Baker.’ The basic plot is set, the characters have been developed to a certain degree, and now it’s just about great writing and great execution—and maybe a surprise cameo or two thrown in for good measure.”
Other returning football-themed campaigns include State Farm’s work starring Mayfield’s fellow NFL QBs Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, who hang with khaki-clad spokes-dude Jake (alas, no fanny packs). And Nissan’s bro-tastic Heisman House isn’t quite as roomy as FirstEnergy, but trophy winners from several generations still call it home.
