This Feline Mr. Fixit Is All About Home Improvement
Great campaigns from Chile, India and Ireland
Below, we explore some great work that broke across the globe in recent weeks, curated by Muse sibling Ads of the World.
Sodimac, ‘Manito de Gato’
Agency: BBDO Chile
Anyone who has owned a cat knows they’re very helpful creatures when home projects are at hand. Though most of that assistance comes in a supervisory role. However, this feline Mr. Fixit takes it to the next level, showing off his impressive painting, cabinetry and tiling skills.
LADbible Ireland, ‘Leprechauns vs. Trolls’
Agency: Folk VML
Irish citizens are being encouraged to identify as leprechauns to enjoy better legal protection from online abuse. “The Leprechaun Law” is a satirical campaign highlighting outdated hate speech legislation, which pre-dates the internet and leaves citizens vulnerable to trolling and digital harassment. While it may sound like a gimmick, the campaign is grounded in legal reality. Under an EU Habitats Directive, leprechauns are classified as a “protected species” in Ireland’s Sliabh Foy Loop area.
Recykal, ‘Mera Desh, Meri Zimmedari’ (‘My Country, My Responsibility’)
In a world where we walk past litter without a second thought, a 6-year-old girl does something different—and sets an example for an entire nation. Every night, she sneaks out unnoticed. Her father begins to worry when she struggles to stay awake during the day. Fearing she may be ill, he follows her one evening … and discovers the real reason behind her secret outings.
