Best in Breed: NFL's George Kittle Kills It in Ads

For Little Caesars, he's putting on the dog

San Francisco 49ers tight-end George Kittle can’t get enough of himself these days.

You’ll see what we mean in the :30 below from Little Caesars. It’s a retro-sitcom sendup, “The Kittles,” which, we’re told, “was filmed before a live studio pizza.”

Suited up for game-day and carrying pies, GK tells his family: “Look alive, dipsticks. I’ve got Little Caesars!”

Nearly a half-minute of buffoonery follows.

The characters share a striking resemblance…

Maybe they live next door to the Usain Bolt clan. Are they watching the action on DirecTV, George’s other high-profile commercial partner?

“Once we told George that he would be playing five different roles, he fully immersed himself in the characters and their backstories,” Jameson Rossi, GCD at McKinney, which developed the spot, tells Muse. “On set he came prepared with different voices, laughs and even facial expressions for every single character.”

Wait. He plays the dog, too?

On social, jokes about “Kittle Caesars” and “George Kibble” abound. Bow wow!

The work breaks wide this week across TV and digital.
