With Man on the Run and Finding Joy

Here are some trailers that caught our eye this week…

Nuremberg

Trailer Agency: InSync Plus

We open inside a secret prison where members of the Nazi high command await trial by the Allies. Chief prosecutor Robert H. Jackson (Michael Shannon) wants the world to know about the atrocities these men committed during the Holocaust. A U.S. Army psychiatrist (Rami Malek) is tasked with assessing the mental health of Hermann Göring (Russell Crowe). A tense psychological battle between the two begins and Göring declares, “I am going to escape the hangman’s noose. No man has ever beaten me.” High praise for finding a score that builds with intensity as the courtroom and history await. In theaters now.

The Death of Bunny Munro

Sex addict Bunny Munro (Matt Smith) explains the secrets to being a good salesman to his son in this cheeky trailer. Turns out his boy’s mom died tragically and Bunny is taking the youngster around Brighton to avoid reality. Bunny is forced to decide what kind of man and father he’s become. His son says: “Maybe we don’t have to be salesmen anymore.” The score by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis amplifies the emotional impact. Adapted from Cave’s acclaimed novel, this series drops Nov. 20 on Sky.

Finding Joy
Prime Video
Trailer Agency: Seismic Productions

This feel-good holiday trailer opens on Joy (Shannon Thornton) being teased that her new bae looks like a player. To everyone’s surprise, Colton (Aaron O’Connell) asks Joy to Colorado for the holidays. A snowstorm spins her car off the road and she’s forced to make do at a remote cabin where she meets Ridge (Tosin Morohunfola). It’s not a meet cute at first, but they soften and get to know each other. Fave line, when Joy’s asked if she likes country music: “Yeah, when Beyonce sings it!” Once she makes it into town, she’s forced to choose between Ridge and Colton. From Tyler Perry, this original film is on Prime now.
