Jim Henson's Puppet Sea Otters Promote Shrimp Brand for Picky Eaters

Now, there's no need to pour on the ketchup

Every family has a picky eater, especially when it comes to seafood—and it’s not just the kids! SeaPak and agency EP+Co teamed up with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to create the Otterfords, a delightful family of puppet sea otters, to promote the shrimp brand as beloved by all.

A series of spots features the Otterfords alongside a human family.

Making (or catching) two dinners is a thing of the past. And human dad doesn’t need to go heavy on the ketchup to enjoy shrimp, thanks to SeaPak.

The campaign launched over the weekend on CTV/OLV, digital and social media. 

“SeaPak shrimp can be the gateway to food exploration, so we’re flipping the script with this campaign because if there’s one thing otters and humans can agree upon, it’s that shrimp is delicious, even to the pickiest eaters,” says Ciera Womack, director of marketing and Seafood at Rich Products. 

A trio of world-class puppeteers, Bradley Freeman Jr., Kathleen Kim and Tracie Mick—veterans of Sesame Street—brought the Otterfords to life.
