From Pinterest to Coffee-Mate, Yetis Leave Deep Footprints Across Commercials

Some are cute, some scary. They're all about the brands

It’s still summer, and the leaves haven’t started to turn, let alone fall. What better time to consider the frost-fingered Yetis clomping through ads of all sorts with increasing frequency?

Requisite pun: Their presence is snowballing!

This week, a not-so-abominable (but fashion-forward) snow-creature left its mark for Pinterest. This one’s all fuzzy, beckoning viewers to visit a fab, fluffy world:

Recently, fantastical friendships emerged. A Yeti and space alien waxed philosophical about Bubba Burgers:

And here’s a Sasquatch and Yeti bro-bonding over Jack Link’s:

Note to self: Never pull Bigfoot’s finger.

Of course, Xmas is a prime time to deck the halls with outsized, hirsute snowmen. Who can forget, from the last yuletide season, Olipop’s mascots spreading prebiotic good cheer:

Their names are Oli and Pop, btw. Yeti says: Me not like! Grrrrr!

Also for the holidays, Michael’s unleashed a cute, craftsy critter in its stores:

Finally, my personal fave, from Coffee Mate. This wild montage rocks a tad more ‘tude. Shaggy dude’s NOT in a great head space—possibly stressed by its vampire co-star or that cartoon cameo from God:

As the temperature drops, look for the Big-Y trend to … wait for it, you waiting? … heat up.
