Hotel Tango, Swiss Miss Offer Cocoa-Flavored Whiskey

Hotel Tango Distillery, makers of small batch whiskey, teamed up with Conagra’s Swiss Miss to add some hot cocoa notes to a new offering: ‘Shmallow toasted marshmallow whiskey. It launches today with campaign and bottle packaging created by Young & Laramore.
“Hotel Tango was looking for an opportunity to generate more awareness for their brand by showcasing ’Shmallow,” says Brad Bobenmoyer, VP of marketing at Young & Laramore. “We had a relationship with Conagra and knew their current marketing strategy was to lean into brand collaborations. Pairing the toasted marshmallow flavor of ‘Shamallow with the iconic Swiss Miss hot cocoa brand was a collaboration we knew needed to happen.”
Get the fire pit ready for this nostalgic walk down memory lane! It’s the first time Swiss Miss has partnered with a liquor brand and Hotel Tango’s first foray at a flavored version of ‘Shmallow.
Bottle packaging features a wintry scene with Swiss Miss and ‘Shmallow’s cat “Fletcher” sledding down a mountain.
“We needed to strike the right balance between the two brands, with Shmallow adopting an irreverent and direct tone, while Swiss Miss conveyed a timeless, imaginative, and approachable style,” Bobenmoyer tells Muse. “The contrast between the two tones created an intriguing pairing. Swiss Miss was able to adopt a more playful and adventurous approach.”

Activations will appear in Hotel Tango’s main markets, local Indianapolis influencers will promote the collaboration and LP O’Brien will develop a Swiss Miss ‘Shmallow cocktail.
“The team is focusing on adult spirit drinkers who are looking for an exclusive, one-of-a-kind product to see Hotel Tango and Swiss Miss as legitimate, cool brands by showcasing this limited run product collaboration,” says Bobenmoyer.
