Busch Made Beer for Your Dog to Celebrate National Dog Day
A tasty bone-broth brew for Fido
Here’s a refreshing non-alcoholic brewski that’s perfect for a dog day afternoon. It’s made with bone-in pork-butt, corn, celery, basil, mint, turmeric and ginger.
A yummy, nutritious concoction—if you’re a canine. Busch Beer created the item for our furry best friends to celebrate National Dog Day today.
You can fetch Busch Dog Brew here in 4-packs for $9.99. The brand will donate $1 from each purchase to Best Friends Animal Society, which promotes pet adoption nationwide. Those who purchase the product today get a chance to win a branded Dog Brew bed. (Aww, wook at that wrascal!)
“After a long day, there’s nothing quite like having a Busch with a friend, and with so many new pet owners across America this year, we wanted to create a brew to give our fans a chance to share a Busch brew with their ‘best friend’,” says Daniel Blake, vp of value brands at Anheuser-Busch.
You’re probably wondering: Can people drink the stuff? Busch says: “This bone broth is made for a dog’s refined palate. You may find it pretty bland. And yes, we’ve tried it a few times. Part of the job.”
Busch developed the campaign with M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment.
The initiative follows several fun promos from the A-B brand. Such howlers (A-oooooooo!) include the Busch Guy officiating a wedding, a pop-up shop hidden deep in the woods, and an invitation (from Billy Ray Cyrus!) to re-make the “Head for the Mountains” jingle.
