London Agency Shrinks Staff Into Bobbleheads for Covid Holiday Card

Isobel also built a model of its reception area

It’s been a year of improvising, and that continued this holiday for Isobel, a London agency that’s always taken pride in its annual holiday card.

Unable to get the staff together for a shoot, Isobel instead created 7-inch-tall bobbleheads of every employee, built an exact scale model of its reception area, and photographed the staff for a card.

“Our Christmas card is massively important to the agency and we didn’t want to lose the group spirit,” says Rob Fletcher, executive creative director and co-founder of Isobel “Each year we come together, dress up, get into character and create unique photographic moments. And whilst we couldn’t do that this year, we still wanted to keep that energy of ‘togerthness’ and so we got creative, crafted some models and created a group photograph—in spite of the restrictions. Next year we’ll all be back in person, but it’s a salient reminder of a year that has challenged every creative business to think and behave differently.”

The images was photographed by Paul Thompson and created with no software intervention or manipulation. The reception area also features a sofa, lighting and framed pictures of the previous year’s agency Xmas cards.

Check out the video below, where a camera pans across the miniature models as the ’70s ballad “When Will I See You Again” plays in the background.
