Anomaly Is Hosting a 'Speed Dating' Event for Creative Singles
'Love Thy Partner' seeks to pair copywriters and art directors
On Feb. 15, as the world recovers from Valentine’s Day, Anomaly New York will play virtual matchmaker for creative pros, hosting “Love Thy Partner,” a speed-dating-themed networking event.
“We’re specifically trying to pair up art directors with copywriters,” says agency executive creative director Jaclyn Rink Crowley. “Because there’s no other industry that relies so heavily on a relationship that, at times, can be just as as intimate as the relationships we have with our spouses and life partners—if not more.”
Hey, is it getting hot in here?
Slated for 5-6 p.m. on the Hopin video-conferencing platform, the meetup offers one-on-one chats and group conversations about industry topics. Anomaly special operations director Devin O’Neill will host—dressed as Cupid, we’re told. (Send us pics!)
Agency folks, freelancers and students can RSVP via LoveThyPartner@anomaly.com.
The cute promos below explore the copy/art dynamic. Directed by Daniel Hurwitz, they feature NYC improvers Bailey Belzora and Samantha Evans, plus several Anomaly employees:
Great meeting! Way to impacfully give 110 percent!
“During the pandemic, our recruitment department has noticed a general uptick in ‘single’ creatives—ADs and copywriters— interviewing,” Crowley says. “It’s been an isolating time for everyone, and we feel like creative partnerships can be some of the most rewarding relationships out there. So we wanted to invite any creative out there to come along and meet some other awesome creatives.”
