Rome Would've Been Built Way Faster if Amazon Were Around

Consumption builds empire, literally

It’s no easy task to punt business services creatively. But Joint in London found a no-brainer for Amazon Business and it also created a costume opp.

“Rome in a Day” makes the case that Amazon’s existence could have helped the Romans get their act together faster. Okay, this requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. Without Rome, its nifty way of packaging empire, the viable roads it built, and its triumphant invention of bureaucracy, Amazon wouldn’t exist.

But chronological time is an illusion anyway. The point is: Here’s what the right business partner can do.

By and large, the ad looks like it was a fun excuse to get people robed up, and to mix modern ideas with themes of antiquity.

Though it must be said that contemporary contributions to this ancient world are questionable. PowerPoints and “Buy it Now” buttons? (Honestly, though, the Romans would have dug that stuff.)
