It's National Beer Day! So Firestone Walker Launched a Video Series
'Beer Talk' begins with a tutorial on stout
Timed to National Beer Day, Firestone Walker Brewing Co. in California debuted a video series, dubbed “Beer Talk,” featuring brewmaster Matt Brynildson.
The first video focuses on stouts, explaining their deep, rich colors and alcohol volume. Along the way, we catch glimpses of Brynildson’s high school yearbook photo and his Chewbacca impression. We learn his secret for staying fit (run!) and enjoy closeups of Firestone’s Parabola and Parabolita stouts. (Is it 5 p.m. yet?)
“Beer is a soulful science, and we seek to give drinkers a peek inside the beer brain of one of the world’s most celebrated brewmasters, our own Matt Brynildson, and the methodical madness behind the vast styles, flavors, and processes of our beers,” says Dustin Hinz, chief marketing officer of Firestone Walker.
New videos, targeting beer lovers and those curious about different varieties, will launch every few weeks, covering styles from hazy IPA, cold-IPA, cryo-hop processes, lagers, ales, and Brynildson’s favorite, Pivo Pils.
