Leaf blowers shoot beer cans real good

It takes Big Men to throw the perfect Big Game party. Big Men on the Cul-De-Sac, that is
Translation: Post Malone and Shane Gillis engineer a neighborhood bash with Peyton Manning in Bud Light’s latest Super Bowl commercial.
These three are the BMOCs, dedicated to sudsy, steak-grilling fun fun fun. They toss beer cans with a leaf blower. There’s Jello mold and colostomy humor.
The ad tries hard to be regular-dude relatable. And it mostly succeeds, building to the kind of wacky crescendo you’d expect.
“For over forty years, Bud Light has been at the center of every great backyard hang with the help of BMOCs. For Super Bowl 59, we’re celebrating the neighbors that can turn up a party and are always on-hand to lend a few cold ones when your cooler runs dry,” says brand SVP of marketing Todd Allen. “For the campaign, we tapped three of our favorite partners in Post Malone, Shane Gillis and Peyton Manning, who all undoubtedly deliver BMOC energy in their everyday lives and shared it on screen in hilarious fashion.”
Huey Lewis’ “The Power of Love” delivers retro vibes. Anomaly helped develop the commercial.
Of course, the spot represents another attempt by Bud Light to get back on the good foot following its Dylan Mulvaney dust-up and drop in market share. To that end, comedian Gills—himself no stranger to controversy himself—has proven popular in a series of satirical brand spots over the past year.
