For St. Patrick's Day, Jameson Whiskey Cuts Up With Regina Hall
Lauren Palmigiano directed the spots
Why not skip work on St. Patrick’s Day and send in a cardboard cutout of yourself instead? Who’d notice? It’s not like you speak up in meetings anyway.
Actress/producer Regina Hall stars with such life-size versions of herself in fresh work from Jameson Irish Whiskey. Videos directed by Funny Or Die alumna Lauren Palmigiano encourage folks to take the Mar. 17 holiday off—and send cardboard stand-ins to the office in their place.
“I can totally understand the feeling of wanting to take a day off yet not wanting to feel bad about it, but with St. Patrick’s Day falling on a Friday this year, it’s the perfect day to plan ahead and take one of those hard-earned PTO days,” Hall says in campaign materials. “So don’t save those days for lesser holidays. Set up your Jameson desk decoy, and go celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with friends.”
Through Mar. 10, Fans can visit JamesonSPTO.com to upload their headshots and customize a desk decoy. Each costs $17.80—priced for the year the brand was founded.
The brand will donate all cutout proceeds plus an additional $25,000 to support the Restaurant Workers’ Community Fund (RWCF).
These desk decoys harken back to 2020, when cardboard people were all the rage at the height of Covid. The work also maintain Jameson’s penchant for giveaways and humor, following its whiskey bottle Christmas trees and endless battles with an octopus.
