Mint Presents 30 Minutes With Ryan Reynolds
WaSEEMS too good to be true?
Ryan Reynolds’ Mint Mobile marketing universe expands to epic proportions in a rollicking long-form infomercial that dropped during the wee hours today on the Cooking Channel.
By “epic,” we refer to its 30-minute run time. That’s a whole lotta Ryan. A ton of minty green backgrounds. Quite a few heartfelt yet cheeky customer testimonials. And a selection of classic brand ads replayed for your pleasure.
We also get a sweaty workout with Tae Bo dude Billy Blanks. Real Mint customer Waseem Iqnaibi—who’s featured in past Mint commercials—shows up for a segment called “WaSEEMS Too Good to Be True.”
A spoof, yet not. Satirical, but real.
We offer a round of applause—just like the hyper-stoked “MINTfomercial” studio audience that simply can’t sit still.
Something to be thankful for ahead of next week’s holiday?
At the very least, it’s a clip-show on steroids, offering more compelling content than most sitcoms could muster.
In addition to Food Net, the vid—from Maximum Effort—will run across A&E, History, ION, Paramount, TruTV and CNBC through EOY, for 226 airings.
