Let's Watch CGI Bears Chase a Citroën Through the Woods

Maybe take your vacation at the beach next time

Snarling bears chase a Citroën C3 in a freaky, fast-paced :60 from BETC Fullsix.

The beasts don’t look particularly real. But still.

“We wanted the bears to be really lovable. So that you almost feel bad for them that they haven’t caught the car—even if that would have almost certainly meant the untimely demise of our drivers,” says agency creative director Nick Bakshi.

You know what’s scarier than the bears? Chicago’s “I Don’t Want to Live Without Your Love” on the soundtrack.

Thankfully, no one gets flirty with those backwoods bruins. That’s more a deodorant commercial thing.

Dorian & Daniel directed through Zauberberg Productions.

“The real challenge was imagining the bears during the shoot, since we didn’t film any real ones,” Bakshi tells Muse. “Luckily, we had an incredible actor on set, a true ‘bear man’ who specializes in bear-like movements and expressions. He was amazing and really helped us bring strong personalities to our bears.”

He adds: “The scene with the falling tree was both super stressful and spectacular to shoot. The timing had to be perfect—and it definitely couldn’t fall on the car, since we only had one! Luckily, everything went smoothly.”

Previous OTT Citroën spots dealt with the French Revolution and encountering a most ungrateful extraterrestrial.
