Molson Sponsors Canada's Olympians—and Their Parents
Rethink rewards the years of sacrifice
Cheers to all the parents of athletes competing in the Paris Olympics. Molson Canada sees your dedication and appreciate how you helped your offspring fulfill their Olympic dream. Early morning practices, driving to competitions and cheers from the stands does not go unnoticed.
Already a sponsor of Team Canada athletes, Molson will also ink deals with parents of Paris Games competitors.
They are: Tony and Fiona Di Stasio, parents of wrestler Justina Di Stasio; Joe and Rachelle Clay, parents of gymnast Zachary Clay; Travis and Susan Wog, parents of swimmer Kelsey Wog; Lynda South-Simoneau, mom to synchronized swimmer Jacqueline Simoneau; and Nancy Tan and Michael Yang, parents of badminton player Brian Yang.
A :45 takes place inside a dimly-lit arena as a voiceover talks about the sacrifices it takes to achieve greatness for one moment of glory. The first at the gym and the last to leave are getting their turn in the spotlight—mom and dad!
Sponsored parents are reaping the perks typically reserved for athletes—paid contracts, TV time and fame across Molson socials. Oh, and beer.

“Zach always dreamed of going to the Olympics. When your child is so committed to something they love, you never complain,” say Joe and Rachelle Clay. “Working overtime, hundreds of trips to and from the gym and to and from the airport—it’s all been worth it because he has achieved his dream. As parents, that’s just what you do. Becoming an official partner has been a ton of fun and we cannot wait to get to Paris!”
