Chili's Courts NASCAR Fans With Country Music Video

That Presidente Margarita is legendary

Chilis’ made a country music video to promote its renewed partnership with Spire Motorsports and its rebranded Presidente Margarita. Can you ride the ‘Dente?

The earworm from JM&D promotes the start of NASCAR season, with a tune sung by Ty Blackwood, a faux circuit driver turned country crooner. He trades in his firesuit to sing about the new Presidente shaker that’s “tasteful and fun.” The shaker is also a mechanical ride, which we’d like to see installed in our local Chili’s.

“Once we started saying ‘Ride The ‘Dente’ to ourselves, it became pretty clear that it was the big idea and it needed a full-length country music video,” says Jonathan Marshall of JM&D. “We’ve got a NASCAR driver literally riding the ‘Dente this season, we’ve got a mechanical bull shaker you can ride—and a fun thing to say when having a good time drinking margs. We wanted this to be the most authentic margarita-themed Country-rock ballad possible. So, we did the whole production in Nashville with a music video director, Alex Alvga, and transformed a Chili’s into a Roadhouse version of Chili’s.”

The video was trimmed down to a :30 that will run nationwide during this weekend’s Daytona 500, and throughout the season.
