Tom Brady and His Patriot Pals Get Silly for Tostitos

With Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman

You never know where NFL quarterbacks will pop up next. First, Brock Purdy found employment at Applebee’s. Now, G.O.A.T. Tom Brady’s serving as a flight attendant for Tostitos.

Yo, Bray! Let’s hustle with that snack cart!

Tom stars with Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman. They were teammates on the New England Patriots. Here, they behave like three brand-boosting bros goofing around and having a great time.

There’s a wacky wedding and an art class, too.

The gridiron greats are gloriously goofy, savoring the sitcom-y shenanigans as they plug “the official chips and dip off the NFL.”

PepsiCo in-house agency D3 developed the campaign.

Casting Tostitos as a game-day essential mirrors the strategy of Lay’s, another Pepsi brand, which memorably tapped Thierry Henry and Lionel Messi to position its chips as synonymous with soccer.

Tostitos’ approach, however, feels more broadly farcical. Director Dave Meyers delivers salty, crunchy schtick driven by the athletes’ considerable charisma and charm.

“The chemistry between Tom, Rob and Julian made the whole process that much easier,” says PepsiCo Foods U.S. CCO Chris Bellinger. “Their friendship allows them to play well off one another, which results in fun content that we think NFL fans will enjoy.”

Would watching his former players joking around put a smile on coach Bill Belichick’s face? Of course not.

But their antics should amuse viewers who crave crispy treats as the new season unfolds.
