Innovative Brand Collabs: Colgate x McBride Sisters; Nespresso x Vital Proteins

Teeth whitening paired with red wine—plus collagen in coffee

Colgate Optic White and McBride Sisters Collection

Can you drink red wine and have a glowing white smile, too? Colgate Optic White teamed up with McBride Sisters Wine Co. to make it happen. A limited-edition set for $49.99 includes a bottle of McBride red blend, two Colgate Optic White overnight whitening pens (one for you and a fellow wine lover) and a compact mirror.

“Colgate Optic White knew that we wanted to share a simple message: you can enjoy time with friends, sip on a great glass of red wine, and still have the promise of a brighter smile,” Jen Caballero, senior marketing director for Colgate Brand Experience, tells Muse. “We explored several wine companies, but from the beginning, it was clear that the McBride Sisters Collection was the perfect pairing. Colgate Optic White designed a beautiful box with artwork depicting a night sky, sending the message that an evening sharing wine and smiles is always time well spent.”

This marks the first time Colgate has partnered with a wine company. The brand also teamed up with Bon Appétit for a custom content series—Colgate Optic White x McBride Sisters Sommelier Secrets—a spin-off of their “World of Wines” video series.

Nespresso and Vital Proteins

Meanwhile, Nespresso partnered with powdered collagen brand Vital Proteins on a Daily Wellness Pack, given that many folks add it to their morning coffee.

Three different Packs are available on Nespresso’s website. A $99 starter kit comes with a tub of Vital Proteins, three Nespresso Melozio Sleeves and a travel mug. $84.50 includes everything above, minus the travel mug. The largest bundle costs $169 and includes a Vertuo Pop+ machine, Vital Proteins and two Melozio sleeves.

“At Nespresso, we are constantly reimagining meaningful ways to elevate coffee moments. As wellness-minded consumers continue to seek out products that bring purpose to their routines, joining forces with Vital Proteins allows us to do just that,” Jessica Padula, VP of marketing and sustainability at Nespresso USA, says in press materials.
