How you bring creativity and innovation to your work
In my role, creativity and innovation are not only about designing the ads themselves. They’re also about making creative visions executable within the complex framework of pharmaceutical advertising. I aim to bring innovation to the table through my approach to negotiating and structuring partnerships, particularly with celebrities, which require careful, creative handling to align them with the sensitive nature of health messaging.
About a recent project you’re proud of
I’m particularly proud of “The Congregation” as it is very close to my heart This project is centered on the vital topic of Roe v. Wade and women’s reproductive rights. It was not only an opportunity for me to engage deeply with an issue I am passionate about but also a chance to step in front of the camera as a principal talent. What made this experience uniquely special was sharing it with my 16-year-old son. It allowed us to explore and discuss these significant topics together, deepening our understanding and our bond.
What you’re most excited about right now in the health space
I am energized by the growing number of celebrity partnerships that our industry is strategically leveraging to help break the stigma around certain health issues and bring vital health messages to a broader audience. It presents a unique opportunity to change perceptions and encourage meaningful conversations.
What it means to you to be selected as a Clio Health Innovator
Being selected as a Clio Health Innovator is both an honor and a validation of the critical role that business affairs plays in the advertising industry, especially within the specialized pharmaceutical marketing sector. Traditionally, our contributions tend to be behind the scenes, but they are pivotal in transforming creative ideas into impactful campaigns.
“Tamika’s creative and production team colleagues refer to her as their best friend. From handling copyrights, to hiring and contracting, to financial matters and overall risk mitigation for Klick’s growing number of productions, she gives creatives the freedom to create, producers the flexibility to produce, and, all along the way, she elevates the entire process.”—Rich Levy, CCO, Klick Health
