From Terminator to Abominable, See This Week's New Trailers and Posters

Plus, a glimpse at Season 3 of Snowfall

This week in entertainment marketing was a bit of a homecoming. The Terminator, Annabelle and crack are all back. There was also some karate, an abominable snowman, and a Pulitzer Prize winner. Hollywood has a way of keeping us on our toes. 

Here’s a look back at some of the notable trailers and posters released this week.


Terminator: Dark Fate

In the mindbending trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate, we celebrate the return of Sarah Connor (played by Linda Hamilton), the Terminator himself (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and James Cameron as a producer. Most noticeably, the trailer shows how CGI advancements are going to make this latest installment wicked fun. He’s back Nov. 1.

In the trailer for this indie pic, we take an adventure across the world in the name of self-discovery. The film, which Seth Green wrote, directed, and stars in, looks like an uplifting and enlightening tale about the art of living. Be a part of the adventure June 7. 


The Art of Self-Defense

The Art of Self Defense looks like the black comedy 2019 has been waiting for. The trailer for the film, which stars Jesse Eisenberg, explores how The Art of Self Defense can give you more than confidence; it can change your whole life—in some very unsuspecting ways. Discover how this July. 


The Nightingale

Jennifer Kent, director of The Babadook, is back for another scare. The trailer for her latest film, The Nightingale, looks like it’ll deliver on the scares and certainly on intensity. A special shout-out for the trailer’s music choice, which adds major points to the creep value. Check out this IFC original on Aug. 2.


Abominable

Adventure awaits in Dreamwork’s new animated film, which tells the story of a magical yeti who escaped a lab and is trying to find his way home to the Himalayan snowscapes. Based on the trailer, the film looks like a visual wonderland. Get ready to see the world on Sept. 27.


Annabelle Comes Home

Snowfall

In case you were coming down from the high of Season 2, brace yourself because Season 3 of Snowfall is coming. In the trailer, the stakes are higher, the game is tougher, and the rock is ruling the streets. Need I say more? Crack is whack, but it makes for good drama. Tune in July 10.
