No Shortcuts to Greatness: Mihnea Gheorghiu of Publicis Milan on Committing to Creativity
The Clio judge also talks classic ads and today's branded entertainment
Being resilient as an advertising creative isn’t about bouncing back when the client says no. It’s about committing to the journey when the client says yes—a journey that can be difficult and exhausting but is the only real path to greatness.
Mihnea Gheorghiu, global creative director at Publicis Milan, expounds on this topic in our latest “Creative Portraits” video, shot earlier this month at Clio judging in Germany, where Gheorghiu was evaluating the Branded Content and Branded Entertainment entries.
“Quality comes from hard work, a lot of time, a lot of people who have to be equally obsessed and passionate about what they’re doing,” he says. “Since we’re constantly being exposed to so much great work, people in some cases just want to do that—but they don’t know about all the work, and all the madness, and all the tens and hundreds of people behind that piece of work.”
