Roto-Rooter Unclogs Santa's Toilet at the North Pole
It was those $%@! elves again
Elves get up to such hijinks in festive ads. It was bad enough when they went on vacation and ignored Santa in this spot for U.K. travel and leisure company Tui.
Now, they’re clogging toilets at the North Pole … with candy canes!
Kringle’s perturbed, and rightly so. Thankfully, Roto-Rooter rides to the rescue:
Candy canes, huh? Wait’ll Claus sees the mess his reindeer left on the carpet. (Alas, that’s not in the commercial. But it’s a recurring nightmare I have this time of year.)
“Roto-Rooter set out to create a memorable commercial for the holiday season that people would look forward to watching year after year,” says brand rep Paul Abrams. “Using puppets and Claymation techniques, we believe the spot taps into the happy sentiment and nostalgia that surrounds Christmas in America.”
Bandolier Media, which does lots of wacky work for Roto-Rooter, plopped this campaign beneath our tree.
