The King Rang a Lot of Doorbells in L.A. for BK's Uber Eats Launch
Yes, it's as freaky as it sounds
Imagine checking your doorbell cam and discovering the King had visited your castle.
We’re talking about the Burger King, who recently bestowed the royal treatment (well, BK gift cards, at any rate) on several hundred homes at random around L.A. The resulting footage—from those houses with Ring doorbell technology—appears in a campaign from MullenLowe touting BK’s new delivery through Uber Eats:
Not enough King? Well, there’s more regal action on BK’s Twitter feed, featuring actual footage of his visits:
So i got a @BurgerKing gift card left at my door. The note told me to check my Ring camera… pic.twitter.com/5WG2XCQ8iN

That was … unsettling, but it gets freakier when His Highness mixes with the common folk:
The King was here. I can prove it. #DeliveryKing pic.twitter.com/LmUUh2aYe0

Let ’em eat fries, eh, King? (Too bad they didn’t dispatch the silly sovereign to McDonald’s for some choice drive-through trolling.)
“We’re thrilled to team up with Burger King restaurants to offer their beloved menu items to Uber Eats customers across the country,” says Janelle Sallenave, head of Uber Eats, U.S. & Canada. Starting today through Oct. 27, the service offers free delivery on BK orders of $15 or more.
So, you can eat like a King without being one. Or something.
Hey, it’s better to find the huge-headed Whopper-lovin’ monarch on your porch than in your bed, right?
