BBDO Atlanta Thanks Staff With Lawn Signs After Months at Home
A stand-in for the usual summer party
Agency happy-hour Zooms getting a little old? The once-reliable #isotainment Slack channel gone dormant? Long-distance connections with co-workers, once a novelty, now feeling gloomily permanent?
Maybe you need a lawn sign of love.
That’s what BBDO Atlanta’s senior leadership team provided to staffers on Tuesday, Aug. 18. They drove more than 400 miles in and around the city and suburbs of Atlanta to hand-deliver a special message to each BBDOer.
“Usually each summer, we have some sort of small get together to say thank you to employees, but this year that wasn’t going to happen. So, instead, we took the party on the road,” says chief creative officer Robin Fitzgerald.
Every employee was greeted—socially distanced, of course—with a gift bag full of locally made “Old Fourth Distillery” hand sanitizer, a DoorDash or Uber Eats gift card, cookies from a local bakery and a custom yard sign announcing that “BBDOATL really loves someone that lives here.”
Staff who are working out of state received treats in the mail.
