Bold, Barmy and Beautiful Campaigns From Across the Globe

A selection of recent work from Wunderman Thompson South Asia

This week, the Ads of the World team hand-picked a selection of campaigns spotlighting the excellent work coming out of India from Wunderman Thompson’s South Asia ops.

Nestlé, ‘Thaalam’

Find out who wins the epic race and why in this action packed campaign from Nestlé. Shot in the beautiful backwaters of Kerala and featuring actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead, the film showcases the story of the first woman snake-boat-race captain (previously a men’s-only club).

Tata Tiscon, ‘The Japanese Dinner’

Tata Tiscon is back celebrating the role of engineers in society with its fifth entry in a digital film series that started in 2018. “The Japanese Dinner” presents an endearing engineer and banker, joined by the latter’s fiancée, who, incidentally, is also an engineer. The Times of India, ‘The Times of a Better India’

The country’s largest circulated English daily recently launched this compelling 360-degree campaign. The work celebrates India’s progress through the decades since independence and extolls the opportunities it continues to create.

AirAsia, ‘Join the Family’

Stuck at home with a broken leg, a young girl experiences the healing power of friends and family. Developed with AirAsia the campaign features three distinct films with quirky and heart-warming human stories. To see the rest of the series visit ATOW.

Apollo Tyres, ‘Go Beyond Sameness’

Made for Apollo Tyres, “Go Beyond Sameness” is a call to challenge perceived limits and discover something the world has never seen before. It’s time to thwart sameness, we’re told, because true adventure isn’t about visiting the same place or following familiar roads taken by others.

Otrivin, ‘Pollution Capture Pencils’

Otrivin has launched a clean-air initiative called “Pollution Capture Pencils.” The innovative project collects pollution by-products and uses them to make certified non-toxic pencils for underprivileged children in Bengaluru, India.
